First poster !

The first teaser poster for Peter Jackson's "THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG" is now online and it shows off Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins at the entrance to the Lonely Mountain, the cave where the villainous Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch) guards his Dwarven treasure.

The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece "The Hobbit," by J.R.R. Tolkien, "THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG" continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Luke Evans, Christopher Lee, Martin Freeman, Hugo Weaving, Richard Armitage, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood, Manu Bennett, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Aidan Turner and Andy Serkis are starring.

"THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG" hits theaters on December 13 of this year while "THE HOBBIT: THERE AND BACK AGAIN" concludes Peter Jackson's second J.R.R. Tolkien trilogy on December 17, 2014.

Synopsis : The Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf have successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo has gained the One Ring. They all continue their journey to get their gold back from the Dragon, Smaug.
