Whaley starring in "THE CELL 2"
2008 will again see many sequels, prequels and remakes premiering in your loungeroom – or as some like to call it ‘the good room'- and the good news is, none of them feature Judge Reinhold.Viude Business" reports that among some of the direct-to-video sequels in development are "CELLULAR 2" (a sequel to the 2004 New Line thriller starring Jason Statham and Chris Evans); "THE CELL 2" (a follow-up to the nutty Jennifer Lopez thing from a few years back); and thepreviously-announced "LOST BOYS 2 : THE TRIBE" starring Corey Feldman.
“It is spot-on to what fans loved about the original, but this one is current,” said Irika Slavin, senior VP for the division. “Corey Feldman is spectacular. And it will absolutely be out in 2008.”
Also on the cards is a fourth "POISON IVY"; "UNDISPUTED 3"; "BATMAN : GOTHAM KNIGHT", a second animated "JUSTICE LEAGUE" and an animated "WONDER WOMAN".
FOX, who are currently in production on a "JOYRIDE" sequel, are prepping "BEHIND ENEMY LINES 3".
"THE CELL 2", which begun production last month, will star Frank Whaley ("VACANCY") and Tessie Santiago.
