Teaser for Post-Apocalyptic "AFTERMATH"
“The world ended on a Tuesday”.While it's enticing to think of, I hope we can get through one more Halloween before it does. Actually, that's the last line in the wicked teaser trailer for "AFTERMATH", a new film coming our way from the Great White North, which you can check out below.
The premise for "AFTERMATH" breaks down like this: Aftermath is a genre character piece set against the backdrop of the deep forest after the abrupt end of the world. Society has collapsed in on itself as we follow six strangers trekking through the woods trying only to survive and escape the chaos of the city. As tensions grow high, and blood starts to shed, they realize that there is truly no escaping the end.

Synopsis : Aftermath begins after the end. Jason is trying to patch up things with his wife when the country is attacked and any hope of normal life is lost. With five other people, Jason escapes the growing barbarism of the city. They leave the roads for the safety of wilderness after they are attacked at a blockade. Slowly they make their way deeper into the woods. Jason begins to realize how truly unprepared he is, and he finds himself relying on the others to survive. He grows closer to one of the women Amanda. Numb from the loss of their previous lives, these 6 decent people begin to reform an echo of the community they once had. However, decay is still at their door. In the bush, they find a murdered man in a cabin. A little later, they find a dying man tied to a tree. These two events remind Jason and the others that they not alone. Onwards, the survivors meet up with Todd and his sister, siblings who are also trying to survive. Trust isn't quickly formed, but Jason and the others decide to head for a lake that could give them shelter. Todd offers to show them the way, healing the rift between the two groups. They reach the lake and part ways with the siblings. Jason and Amanda take comfort in each other, and they are content for a span. However, the land of milk and honey is not to be. Savages capture Todd and his sister. Jason and the others try to help, but the siblings are slain. One by one, the savages and Jason's people kill each other until only Jason survives. Once again, he has lost everything. Driven to the brink of sanity, knowing that there is no stopping the breakdown of society, Jason succumbs to the horror of the Aftermath.
