.: REVIEW
Last production to date by Joe Zaso, actor in "NIKOS THE IMPALER" & "DEMONIUM" by Mr Schnaas, but also in his own realisations "GUILTY PLEASURES", "AND THEN THEY WERE DEAD" was directed by Ray Schwertz, who signs here his first long-running movie. This name might not be totally unknown to you as he's also the editor of "NIKOS THE IMPALER" (we can also see him in the movie).
Besides Joe Zaso, whose actor skills aren't to be proved anymore, we can find some known people in small budget horror cinema like Tina Krause("PSYCHO SISTERS", "VAMPIRE SEDUCTION", "TITANIC 2000", "WITCHOUSE 3 : DEMON FIRE", "ZOMBIEGEDDON"...) or Darian Caine, one of the favourite actresses of Seduction Cinema, who can be seen in movies with evocative names like "THE EROTIC WITCH PROJECT", "MISTRESS FRANKENSTEIN", "EROTIC SURVIVOR", "MUMMY RAIDER", "PLAY-MATE OF THE APES", "THE LORD OF THE G-STRINGS : THE FEMALESHIP OF THE STRING" or even "SPIDERBABE". The other actors either make their debut or can be found in the credits of "NIKOS THE IMPALER" (Willie Hill, Hugh Daly, Franck Gagliardotto...), no one change a team that wins...
With such a cast, we can say at once that the movie has its part of horror but also its part of eroticism...

Seven people are invited anonymously to a dinner in an old house. But it will turn to nightmare when the first person disappear...

If the scenario of "AND THEN THEY WERE DEAD" is close to an Agatha Christie plot with its horror scenes, even gore sometimes (unfortunately, the special effects aren't always good like for the explosion of the head) and with some erotic scenes (the scene in the shower, a bit useless, will be enjoyed by the Darian Caine fans who still don't know her body by heart).

From the performance point of view, there's some good (Tina Krauss, Darian Caine or Joe Zaso) and some inferior, the music by Function Zero (that we can also find on the "NIKOS THE IMPALER" soundtrack!) is a very positive point of the movie, skilfully mixing dark and unhealthy atmosphere and captivating Electro.

If "AND THEN THEY WERE DEAD" is far from being the long-running film of the year, we have to admit that for a first realisation, moreover with little means, Ray Schwertz is doing pretty well, with a watchable movie even though not very original.
