The soundtracks in horror cinema, even though they're of capital importance in the film, aren't really in vogue to mainstream audiences and, unfortunately, only few die hard fans try to get them. So Perseverance Records is there for them! In spite of a small catalogue (five titles for now and two in prevision for the end of the year), this production label delivers products of a good quality.
As far as "THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES" is concerned, you'll not only get the soundtrack, but also to a track called "Suite of Unused Music", which, as its name indicates, is a medley of the music which wasn't used in the movie but which went, however, in a very good concept as it is composed of ten parts representing the ten curses in the Bible (water changing into blood, the frogs.). A very good means to fill the remaining space on the CD!
The whole packed with a 20 page booklet full of pictures, anecdotes, notes and explanations. What more could we ask for?
