"PUNK ROCK HOLOCAUST 2" and Backseat Film Festival Screenings in NYC! Halloween!
PUNK ROCK HOLOCAUST 2, the Rock and Roll, slasher/zombie comedy film sequel produced on the 2004 Vans Warped Tour will have its NYC Premiere on Friday, October 26th at 9pm at the Pioneer Theater (155 East 3rd Street at Ave. A, New York, NY 10009) as part of a Backseat Film Festival Double Horror Feature! Director Doug Sakmann will be on hand to introduce the film with surprise guests! At 11pm, STUPID TEENAGERS MUST DIE will have its NYC premiere as well! Each screening block 18 and over only, is $10; or $6.50 for Pioneer members, and both features will screen with a number of horror themed shorts and music videos.
The screenings will be preceded by the 2nd Edition of the NYC Zombie Crawl, zombies will gather starting at 6pm at Bar 13 (35 East 13th St (@ University Place) and crawling to the Pioneer Theater at 8pm! Makeup artists will be on hand to zombifiy those who are not un-dead, check out www.nyczombiecrawl.com for more info! The event is free and the bar is 21+, underage zombies can meet us at 8pm outside the bar to crawl with us!
At 9pm, Punk Rock Holocaust 2, directed by Doug Sakmann stars even more of the hottest bands from the tour including The Aquabats, The Bouncing Souls, The Casualties, My Chemical Romance, River City Rebels, The Planet Smashers and Teenage Harlots. Returning cast members from the original film include Troma Entertainment's Lloyd Kaufman and Warped Tour's Kevin Lyman & Heather Vantress. New players include Mistress Juliya, Megan Sanders and Pro BMX star Rick Thorne.
Set one year after the original Punk Rock Holocaust, the demonic Pop-punk Executioner's headless, undead corpse is back on the 2004 Vans Warped Tour and it's looking for its head! The killer is beheading bands left and right, and on the tour there is total “Holocaust Denial” as all of the tour production staff refutes reports of the carnage that happened the previous year. One precocious, nubile “Holocaust Survivor” has become a reporter for a small independent magazine. She is determined to get to the bottom of the story and reveal the truth to the world. Kevin Lyman is hiding something, but why? And what?
At 11pm, Stupid Teenagers Must Die! Directed by Jeff Smith! Excessive violence. Gratuitous nudity. Zero budget. Witness this loving (and bloody) tribute to the horror films of the 1980s. A group of typical horror movie high school kids get together to hold a séance in a haunted house. Naturally, people start dying preposterously bloody deaths and girls get naked for no apparent reason. Hilarity ensues.
