Patrick Lussier in Talks for "HALLOWEEN 3D"
As part of a story on the future of the Weinstein Company, and Bob Weinstein's genre division Dimension Films, Variety reports that "MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D" director Patrick Lussier is in talks to write and direct the recently-announced "HALLOWEEN 3D" with plans to have it ready for a summer 2010 release.Dimension have also tapped Ehren Kruger ("THE RING") to adapt Stephen King's short story "CHILDREN OF THE CORN" into a new movie.
The story of a boy preacher who persuades the kids of a Nebraska town to kill all the adults was previously turned into a movie in 1984, and that went on to spawn six sequels.
