Old Boy Remake

Helmer Justin Lin and a team of writers have climbed aboard Universal Pictures' remake of the South Korean pic "OLD BOY". Directed by Chan-Wook Park, original "OLD BOY" follows a man in his mid-30s who has been kidnapped by unknown captors and held in a room for years. On the 15th anniversary of his capture, he's knocked out and awakens in the middle of a city. Plot centers on his search to find out who kidnapped him, who's killed his family while he was away, and why.

Synopsis : Oldboy is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.
