Find its way to Shriekfest

Independent feature film "FOUND IN TIME", written and directed by Arthur Vincie, will have its world premiere at the 2012 Shriekfest Film Festival. The film, a "lo-fi" fantasy about psychics, time, and murder, will screen on Saturday, October 6th, at 8:45pm, at Raleigh Studios (5300 Melrose) in Hollywood, CA. "Shriekfest is a terrific festival" said Vincie. "It specializes in screening the best independent sci-fi, horror and fantasy films out there, so we feel very lucky to be included."

"FOUND IN TIME" is set in an "alternate" present-day New York City, where psychics with real powers sell their services as street vendors. They live in fear of the Psychological Police Corps ("Psychcops") and lead lonely, desperate lives. Chris is a collector - he compulsively finds and picks up objects off the street. Yet everything he collects today will have a purpose for someone tomorrow. This gift comes at a price - he lives his life out of order, experiencing the future, past, and present as a big jigsaw puzzle. When he commits a murder in the future, can he rearrange the pieces of time to prevent it from happening? "The film is about how little we really know about time," said Vincie. "Is it a line that we simply ride, or are there loops and jumps? Why do we see the past but not the future? I wanted to explore these ideas in an entertaining way that connects with people."

Shot in just 13 days on the Canon 5D Digital SLR camera, the film features performances from up-and-coming actors MacLeod Andrews, Kelly Sullivan ("GENERAL HOSPITAL"), Mina Vesper Gokal, Derek Morgan ("JOAN OF ARCADIA") and Curt Bouril ("BOARDWALK EMPIRE"). This is Arthur Vincie's second film as a director, but he has over a decade of experience as a line producer and production manager. The film was shot by Ben Wolf (three films at Tribeca in one year; Student Academy Award winner for his first short); edited by Dan Loewenthal (over thirty years of experience, including modern classics "MISSING IN ACTION" and "HARD TIMES"); and sound designed and scored by Quentin Chiappetta (films in Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Silverdocs, and Toronto).

Synopsis : Chris is a psychic who lives his life out of order - experiencing past, present and future as a jigsaw puzzle. But when he commits a murder in the future, he has to change his past and present in order to prevent it from happening.
