"THE HITCHER" (2007) is a remake of the Cult Video-Hire Classic starring Rutger Hauer and C.Thomas Howell.

The film is a fast paced, tense and stylish new take on the 1986 classic about a serial killer who stalks and torments two young travellers on their way to Spring Break.

When Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) and Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) reluctantly pick up John Ryder (Sean Bean) late one rainy night; they immediately discover that their worst fears have come true-Ryder is a murderous psychopath. However, it's only after the young couple barely escape with their lives that the real trouble begins.

Ryder's gone on a killing spree, and he's framing them for the murders. Running from the police while chasing the true killer, Jim and Grace must live as both outlaws and vigilantes while trying to stop the slaughter and prove their own innocence.
