Homicidal sociopath trucker Rusty Nail (Mark Gibbon; "THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK") makes his return in "ROAD KILL 2", as four teenagers Kayla (Laura Jordan; "SOLSTICE"), Melissa (Nicki Aycox; "THE X-FILES 2"), Bobby (Nick Zano; "FINAL DESTINATION 4") and Nik (Kyle Schmid; "THE COVENANT") embark on a road trip to Las Vegas. Disaster strikes when their car suddenly breaks down, they find themselves stranded in the sweltering desert and make the fatal error of stealing a car belonging to the depraved and sadistic Rusty Nail. With an insatiable penchant for punishment and brutality, Rusty terrorizes the group in a series of disturbing and deadly encounters, forcing them to play a series of incessantly ruthless mind games that inevitably lead to their torture and face death straight-on in the eye.
Directed by Louis Morneau (Made Men, Final Judgment) this shocking, unrated cut of the film is available on DVD with terrifying special features, including two behind-the-scenes featurettes, showing an inside look into the making of the gory special effects and plenty deleted and extended scenes making "ROAD KILL 2" a must-see for all horror fans.
Two other hair-raising horrors are also available to get your teeth into in the New Year - "THE DEVIL'S CHILD AKA JOSHUA", out on DVD on 16 February and "HIT AND RUN", out on DVD on 9 February.
Seemingly perfect Manhattan parents, Brad (Sam Rockwell; "MATCHSTICK MEN") and Abby (Vera Farmiga; "THE DEPARTED") are celebrating the birth of their second child in "THE DEVIL'S CHILD AKA JOSHUA". Soon the veneer of their polished lives begins to crack as Brad and Abby find themselves stressed to the limit, wrapped up in an escalating chain of domestic terror. Is it all a series of eerie coincidences or are they in the midst of an unimaginably evil mind? Directed by George Ratliff ("HELL HOUSE"), "THE DEVIL'S CHILD AKA JOSHUA" is a superbly crafted psychological thriller.
"HIT AND RUN" tells the story of college student Mary Murdock (Laura Breckenridge; "LOVING ANNABELLE"), who while driving home drunk from a party one night, thinks she has hit and killed a cat. However when she arrives home, Mary is horrified to discover a man's nearly dead body impaled on the bumper of her Jeep. Terrified and irrational, Mary is faced with a series of decisions that determine her fate.
