SYNOPSIS :

A women runs for her life from a purposeful, but mysterious man. As she flees, she attempts to hide a 5-year-old girl from him. She is cornered and quickly tears up some loose floorboards and stashes the child under the floor. Just as the last board is in place, the man enters and demands the little girl. As she refuses, he beats her, rapes her and leaves her for dead. The child watches this horror from below. The man vows to find her.

Blood Rayne, half human, half vampire, all women. This gorgeous 23-year-old lives and works as part of a circus freak show. Unsure of what she truly is, the Ringmaster and Strongman abuse her and cut her, just to watch her bleed. They douse her with water to watch her skin burn and blister, all in the name of profit. She is alone except for her only friend Amanda, a sexy sword artist, who dreams of freedom and getting married someday. The Strongman lusts for Rayne and one night, in a drunken stupor he attaches her. He beats her and attempts to rape her. She tries desperately to fend him off, then suddenly she has flashbacks of watching her mother raped and murdered. In a blind rage, Rayne lunges at the Strongman's throat and drinks human blood for the first time. This first kill results in rampant decimation and she is caught in the act. The circus folk try to apprehend her but the blood rage surges and she kills anyone that dares to challenge her. During her blind rampage she accidentally attaches Amanda, nearly killing her. Full of regret, Rayne takes Amanda's sword and flees into the forest.

Vladimir and Sebastian, members of the Brimstone society, a group dedicated to fighting vampires, learn of Blood Rayne and attempt to find her. They find the carnage she has left at the circus.

Heartbroken and alone, Rayne learns to defend herself with Amanda's swords. She begins to learn who she is and the strengths that she possesses inside and out. Rayne now dedicates herself to feeding on vampires, never again attacking humans. As she searches for blood, she encounters a Fortune Teller. The old woman explains to her that she is a Dhampir, the offspring of a vampire and a human. She reveals to Rayne that the man who killed her mother was Kagan, a very powerful vampire, and her father. Rayne is determined to avenge her mother and kill Kagan. The Fortune Teller explains that Kagan's fortress is heavily guarded and that her only hope of entering would be to possess a very powerful artifact. The Talisman of the Eye, something Kagan, the vampire king, had been seeking for years.

Kagan learns of Rayne's existence and that the Fortune Teller has sent her in search of the Eye. Kagan orders Domastir, his head henchman, to “dispose” of this “Dhamphir”.

Rayne enters the monastery where the Eye is kept. She finds it, but has to avoid traps, fierce guardians and rushing water to escape. Ultimately she prevails and wins the eye and unexpectedly, it takes on a purpose of its own and assimilates into her skull. As she prepares to leave the monastery, she encounters a Regal Monk. He explains that there are 3 Talismans in total; the Eye, the Heart and the Rib, and that Kagan already possess one of them. He warns her of her great responsibility to human kind just as Kagan's forces attack the monastery. A fierce battle ensues. Rayne is injured and Domastir manages to kidnap her. Vladimir and Sebastian arrive on the scene a few moments too late.

The two Brimstone warriors follow her and Domastir, to the lair of Leonid, a lusty playboy vampire surrounded by scandalous vixens. Leonid realizes that Rayne holds the powerful Eye and demands it. She refuses and a battle breaks out in the lair as Vladimir and Sebastian arrive on the scene and save her. Leonid is killed in a dramatic fashion; light spilling into his hideaway through a smashed window. Weak and wounded, Rayne is taken by Vlad and Sebastian to the Brimstone Society's fortress. Here they meet Katarin, head lieutenant of the society.

Kagan finds out about Rayne's escape and that she possesses the eye. He is furious and demands that she be brought to him.

At the Brimstone Fortress, Rayne is caged, at first, but eventually a trust develops and they let her out and allow her to feed. She tells them about her mother and her mission. She stays at the fortress and begins to train with them as a warrior against vampires. Over time, a sexual tension builds between Rayne and Sebastian. This tension continues to intensify after they consummate their unique relationship.

Vladimir, Sebastian and Rayne visit Iancu Milea, a friend of the society, who outfits Rayne with armor and weapons.

Katarin is bitter that Vlad and Sebastian have brought Rayne to the Brimstone Society. It is soon revealed that she is a traitor and lets Kagan's thralls (human servants of vampires), into the fortress. When Vladimir, Sebastian and Rayne return to the fortress, they find that everyone is dead and that Katarin is gone. They return to the town but Rayne sets out on her own, first to find the Heart Talisman and then to fight Kagan alone.

Her search for the Heart returns her to the Brimstone Society. There she witnesses, Katarin the traitor, surrounded by thralls, trying to retrieve the Heart for Kagan. In an underwater battle, Katarin and Rayne fight for the Heart and Rayne prevails and kills Katarin. Rayne drinks Katarin's blood to heal herself.

Meanwhile, Vladimir and Sebastian arrive at Kagan's castle and wait for Rayne to show up.

Rayne soon arrives at Kagan's castle and demands to see him, admitting that she is his daughter and the she bears a gift. She is taken to see him and then is quickly apprehended by Domastir and set to the dungeon to await removal of the Eye. Vladimir and Sebastian follow Rayne and attempt to storm the castle. They are quickly apprehended by the hoards of thralls and are brought to the dungeon to join Rayne.

Rayne is shackled and dragged to the ceremony to remove the Eye. Kagan is about to possess all 3 of the Talismans, which will curse the world and cloak it in darkness so that the vampires may roam free. With Rayne's clever plan, Vladimir and Sebastian are able to escape and attack. They release Rayne from her shackles and an incredible, nail biting action sequence ensues. The battle ultimately brings Kagan to his knees and destroys his colony. Vladimir does not survive this final battle but Rayne triumphs and saves the life of Sebastian by turning him into a Vampire.
