Henkel Working on New Texas Chainsaw

Kim Henkel is really a guy in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre lore who doesn't get much credit, but he is really the guy who co-wrote the original. Recently he informed Fangoria that he has another Chainsaw in the works.

“I have just completed a script for a new one, and it will not be made by Platinum Dunes,” Henkel tells Fango. “I've just done the first draft, and I'm still unsure of which way I'm going to go with it. However, it's the first time since the original that I've done something that I wanted to do with it. I'm excited about being able to truly realize what I've put down on paper.”

He didn't reveal anything about the plot details but did manage to say that it will take place in the present. This is a very interesting development. The way he is talking about the film sounds like we will have another sequel to the original TCM franchise and not one for the remake franchise. Very interesting.. keep it here for more.
